Italian yarn manufacturer RadiciGroup took part in a recent one-day seminar entitled Innovative Synthetic Fibres and the Competitiveness of Made in Italy. The event took place at the Centro Tessile Serico in Como. It was organised by Italian industry bodies Assofibre Cirfs Italia, SMI and Confindustria Como.

Marketing manager Arturo Andreoni represented the RadiciGroup, presenting the group's vision of sustainability. He said afterwards: “Our group has a vertically integrated polyamide production chain and the sustainability of our production chain, on which we are focusing significant efforts and resources, was the topic of our talk at the conference promoted by Assofibre. Our group operates so as to safeguard the environment, as far as both our production processes and products are concerned. That means using recycled products, developing processes that optimise the use of natural resources and powering the polymerisation processes in our Italian plants with green energy, specifically hydroelectric energy. All of this starting at the upstream end of our production chain—from chemicals, all the way down to plastics and synthetic fibres.”
