Scuba diver helps Ocean Athlete launch online
North Carolina-based ocean sports apparel brand Ocean Athlete will make its online retail debut in June with the help of scuba diving professional John Chatterton. Mr Chatterton will provide diving enthusiasts with exclusive online content.
Mr Chatterton hosts the History Channel's Deep Sea Detectives series and is one of the world's best-known wreck divers. He is the first endorsee signed by Ocean Athlete to market its apparel and accessories designed for coastal sporting lifestyles, including diving, surfing, sailing and fishing.
Ocean Athlete will also be supporting Soldiers Undertaking Disabled Scuba (SUDS), a programme that is important to Mr Chatterton, who fought in Vietnam. SUDS, founded at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, aids in the rehabilitation of injured soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
