Twelve new projects at Hohenstein’s Innovation Exchange

Around 80 people attended the fourth Innovation Exchange at the Hohenstein Institute on June 10-11, at which 12 new research projects were introduced.

These projects included: the antiviral effect of textiles and how it can be used by Dietmar Zeller of Sanitized and Anja Gerhardts from Hohenstein; functional shoe inserts used to reduce foot odour by Claudia Bernet from Flawa AG and Hohenstein’s Gregor Hohn; insect protection from the Timo Hammer from the Hohenstein Institute (joint presenter Klaus Egbers from HKM Sports Equipment was unfortunately unable to attend); UV protective shirts introduced by Claudia Waldinger from trade association BAU and Sabrina Köhler from Hohenstein Institute; and exploring how the requirements for functional clothing can vary, depending on how they are used for different sports or under different stresses by Helmut Peterseim of Helmut Peterseim Strickwaren and Martin Harnisch from the Hohenstein Institute.
