Sports Endeavors makes t-shirts to help Japan
In response to the tragic earthquake and tsunami in Japan on 11 March 2011, US sportswear brand Sports Endeavors and its partner companies have created Japan t-shirts for all of the sports the company represents: soccer, lacrosse and rugby.
The t-shirts are intended to help raise funds, increase awareness and show support, and 100% of the proceeds from their sales will be donated directly to Japan via the Red Cross.
The shirts are available and promoted through the company’s ecommerce sites as well as on social media. Sports Endeavors has also set up a specific website in response, www.japanunited.org, to track and report on the fundraising campaign.
In the past, through similar t-shirt fundraisers, Sports Endeavors has raised funds for 9/11 survivors, Hurricane Katrina victims, Haitian citizens and the people of Chile, contributing a total of more than $350,000.
“Sport has always had the power to bring people together across all sorts of borders and boundaries,” said Jim Noonan, Sports Endeavors’ vice president of marketing. “We believe that these shirts give sports fans a tangible and meaningful way to support one another no matter where they live or where the need is.”
