Smart Fabrics Conference 2012 dates announced
IntertechPira has announced that Smart Fabrics 2012 will take place April 17-19, 2012, at the Conrad Miami Hotel in Miami, Florida. The event, now in its eighth year, aims to bring together experts from a variety of industries, including textiles, fashion, electronics, technology, research and academia, all of which play a role in the smart fabrics industry.
“We are thrilled to be back in Miami for our eighth annual Smart Fabrics conference,” said Barbara Rojas, conference director at IntertechPira. “Every year brings new and exciting developments to this ever-evolving industry, and Smart Fabrics 2012 will provide a unique platform for industry insiders to gather and share their expertise on the latest technologies, and help create a roadmap to further move the industry forward.”
The advisory board is complete for Smart Fabrics 2012 and includes Stacey Burr, VP of Wearable Sports Electronics, adidas; Derek Campbell, director of Global Product Innovation, The North Face; Hap Klopp, chairman of Cocona Fabric; Tom Martin, associate professor, Virginia Tech; Liesbeth van Pieterson, senior scientist and Department Head Brain, Body and Behaviour, Philips Research; and Dr. Patricia Wilson, president and principal, Fabric Works.
IntertechPira is currently accepting abstracts from anyone wishing to present at Smart Fabrics 2012.
