Ghana’s Revenue Protection Information Bureau (RPIB), has commended the country’s government for initiating the Ghana Cotton Revival Project, describing it as “timely and a blessing to cotton farmers”.

The RPIB said the project would revamp the cotton industry in the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions where most farmers depends on the ‘White Gold’, according to a statement from Alex Agyemang, administrative secretary of the Bureau.

He said the project would save the industry from eventual collapse. Mr Agyemang said this intervention would offer more than 100,000 direct employments in the agriculture sector.
