Indian government to fund new textile parks

India’s federal government has approved funding of around $270 million to help fund 40 integrated textile parks as part of its eleventh Five-Year Plan.

Of the 40 centres for textile manufacturing, some have already been completed, but 21 new projects will now get off the ground, with government sources claiming construction on 17 of them will begin in December 2011.
