Falke develops seamless functional underwear “with warming plush”

24/01/2012
German sports apparel brand Falke is launching a new seamless underwear collection, specifically aimed at winter sports enthusiasts, which it claims will be the first in the world to have a plush-knitted inside. The new collection is called the First Layer Falke Skiing Comfort Fit range.

The 3D circular knitted underwear has moisture- and temperature-regulating technology ThermoCool from Advansa on the inside. Its blend of fibres with a hollow core and fibres with a channelled surface provide thermobuffering properties and protect the user from temperature changes. This also helps prevent post-exercise chill and allows excess heat to dissipate into the air.

Polyamide on the outside of the underwear is designed to provide an added evaporative surface.

Components of the range include a long-sleeve shirt (with and without stand-up collar), three-quarter and full-length pants and a short-sleeve shirt for men.
