Improved performance features for HKS 3-M

23/05/2012

Germany-based textile machinery manufacturer Karl Mayer launched a new version of its HKS 3-M machine at the ITM in Istanbul (April 21-24).

The three-bar, high-speed tricot machine was first introduced in 2000 and was updated in 2007 and again this year.

The knitting motion, machine frame and the beam let-off frame have been redesigned for this latest version, increasing its speed by more than 15%. It is also more compact and access to the warp beam rollers on the right-hand side of the machine has been improved.

Although it is primarily used to produce upholstery fabrics and net curtains, the HKS 3-M can also be used to produce stretch and non-stretch sportswear, and intimate apparel fabrics. It can also produce semi-technical fabrics such as shoe fabrics and flags.
