It highlighted the importance of DR technology as the demand for multi-coloured footwear continues to grow in both the sports and fashion industries. It added that the RDJ 5/1 machine was the result of “in-depth analysis” of the requirements of these sectors.
Karl Mayer described the machine’s multi-coloured threading arrangement as “particularly remarkable”, explaining that the jacquard bar is threaded with black yarn, while the ground guide bars can process different coloured yarn for the inside of the fabric and its outer side. It added that the machine combines direct and sectional warping to enable multi-coloured sectional warp beams to be produced efficiently and in a wide range of colours.
With regards to efficiency, the company says the RDJ 5/1 can produce the fabric for up to 150 pairs of shoes per hour.
