New CEO at Karl Mayer

Germany-based textile machinery manufacturer Karl Mayer has announced its longstanding managing partner Fritz Mayer will retire from the company at the end of June.

Arno Gärtner will take over as CEO, running the company alongside chief financial officer Helmut Pressl.

Mr Gärtner began his career at Karl Mayer as manager of the lace and curtain division. He was responsible for expanding the Chinese subsidiary and latterly named president of the warp knitting business unit.

Fritz Mayer will remain on the board of the family-run company, which specialises in producing warp knitting and raschel machines, and warp preparation units.
