17/03/2017
Textile machinery manufacturer Karl Mayer has officially opened a new development centre in Fukui, Japan.

The facility is part of a restructuring and modernisation programme of Karl Mayer’s Japanese subsidiary, Nippon Mayer. It specialises in developing double-bar raschel machines and researching new innovations for the textile sector.

The centre held an in-house show from March 1 to 3 to demonstrate the capabilities of the facility. The manufacturer said the event, which include a tour, machine show and workshops, was extremely well attended.

The group included customers from Japan and features a large delegation from South Korea as well as visitors from Europe. There were also representatives from manufacturers for the sportswear and lace sectors, institutes and universities, and textile retailers, managing directors and owners of textile companies that have not yet got into the business of warm knitting.
