Champion Athleticwear has signed a new partnership wit professional lacrosse tour LXM PRO for the 2012 pro tour. Champion will provide uniforms and sideline apparel for all LXM PRO events this year.

An eight-city tour has been announced for 2012, with stops including Austin, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Seattle.

Athletes such as Kyle Harrison, Mikey Powell, the Bratton Brothers, Sean Morris, Matt Russell, Alex Hewit and John Christmas will be kitted out in Champion’s high-performance apparel.

Cathy Marchant, director of Champion brand marketing, commented: "By teaming up with the LXM PRO Tour we are able to reach lacrosse fans and elite players across the US to help grow the sport at all levels."

Team captain at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Sean Morris welcomed the brand's involvement: "Champion represents a lot of what our sport is about, outstanding tradition, authentic sports apparel, and absolute quality.

"I've seen the designs for the first event of the year and know players and fans of the sport are going to be equally excited about both the uniforms and the performance apparel we'll be wearing all year."
