Outdoor trade bodies in UK and France join forces
08/06/2012
One of the main benefits of the agreement should be that it will be easier for French companies to increase the amount of business they do in the UK and for UK companies to achieve a similar benefit in the French market.
Earlier this year the two trade associations signed a memorandum of understanding outlining areas of mutual interest in which they plan to work together, such as sharing services and information, promotional events, and working together on sustainability.
Member brands will soon be able to take advantage of pooled services and initiatives, as well as the unique expertise each organisation has of its respective national market. This relationship is designed to boost the long-term success of the outdoor industry in both countries.
The OIA and OSV have also become associate members of each other’s respective association.
