Fibre and polymer producer Invista presented the very first commercial fabrics with Lycra fibre W technology at Interfilière and Mode City in Paris from July 7-9.

Lycra fibre T279W is said to offer enduring whiteness and blends well with polyamide companion yarns. This means moulded cups and high-content fabrics containing the fibre offer evenness and clarity, with a reduced grin-through effect.

It enhances warp and circular knit fabrics and enables greater coloration and styling flexibility without changing the fabric properties.

Companies currently using the fibre in their sportswear, swimwear and intimate apparel lines include: Brugnoli Giovanni, Carvico, Dogi International Fabrics, Eurojersey, Jersey Lomellina and Piave Maitex.
