The group, whose brands include The North Face and Vans, achieved revenues of $2.1 billion during the quarter, up 16% on the same period in 2011, including $239 million in revenue from Timberland, which VF acquired last September.
For the first half of 2011, the group brought in revenues of $4.7 billion, an increase of 24% on the figure for the first six months of last year. Profits rose by 3% to $341 million.
Adding Timberland and former Timberland clothing brand Smartwool (acquired at the same time) meant that revenues for VF’s outdoor and action sports segment increased by 45% in the second quarter.
