Cycling outfit wins Project OR for Missouri State student

This time, the Project OR judging panel named Missouri State University’s Katy Jessee as the winner. This was the ninth time the organisers had included Project OR as part of the programme for the event’s Summer Market show.
Ms Jessee’s award-winning design comprised a tailored jacket and cropped jeans cycling outfit.
As well as being happy with the fashion content of the outfit, judges said at the end of the exercise that the Missouri State student’s choice of technical fabrics and strategically placed vents and stretch panels made it a technically accomplished entry too.
Ms Jessee made the jacket primarily from a plaid Schoeller corkshell fabric; details and edges were lined with Bemis seam-tape. Brookwood fabrics made up the underarm and shoulder area venting panels while the removable hood was in Cordura fabric. The cropped jeans were also in Schoeller fabric with 3M Scotch light-lined inseams.
Taiwanese performance textile provider Hyperbola and Bemis were the main sponsors of the event.
