Latest Bemis tapes add strength and breathability

Bemis Associates, a producer of heat-activated films and tapes, has created a collection of Rapid Reaction and High Visibility Sewfree, offering increased stretch and breathability.

DriSeam, a seam reinforcement tape (SRT), repels water and wicks away moisture to keep athletes cool and dry. The SRT is made of DriRelease, hydrophilic fibres that are water-absorbent and blended with hydrophobic fibre.

FlowFlex is a lightweight, stretchable overlay film engineered for performance fabric. It integrates perforations into the film through a proprietary process, which creates airflow and moisture management capabilities.

Chromaflex Film, one of the highlights of the collection, creates colour shifts as a garment moves.

CEO Steve Howard said: “The Rapid Reaction and High Visibility Collections enable designers to incorporate subtle details that provide performance into almost any garment that differentiate a brand.”
