Bauer Performance Sports appoints new chairman

Bernard McDonell is currently the lead director of shopping centre group First Capital Realty, serving on the executive, audit and corporate governance committees, and will take up his Bauer role with immediate effect.
He replaces W Graeme Roustan, who resigned citing increased commitments with other business interests including his role as CEO of GTA Sports and Entertainment.
"I am honoured to be appointed as the new chairman," Mr McDonell said. "As a member of the board since the company's initial public offering, I have seen first-hand Bauer's commitment to developing the most innovative, high-performance sports equipment in the industry.”
Bauer products are marketed under the Bauer Hockey, Mission Roller Hockey, Maverik Lacrosse and Cascade brand names.
