Visitor numbers surged 44% at the recent Première Vision China, attracting 3,261 visitors to exhibition centres on the banks of the Huangpu River in Shanghai.

The 18th Chinese edition of the fabric and textile event, dedicated to the autumn winter 13/14 season, saw 62 exhibitors from 11 countries displaying their latest products and developments.

The number of seminars also increased from the previous edition, which took place earlier this year. Sabine Le Chatelier, associate fashion director of the show, presented three talks a day: an AW 13/14 trend seminar, a ‘best’ seminar and a colour seminar.

Two days after the show, Première Vision hosted a workshop in Shenzhen for exhibitors to meet influential buyers, with 26 weavers showing their fabric collections to 200 local professionals.

The Paris edition of the show will next be held from February 12 to 14, 2013, while the next China show is scheduled for March.
