PFC debate to continue at Performance Days

09/11/2012
WSA magazine’s technical editor, Sophie Bramel, will chair a discussion on the subject of perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) in outdoor clothing at the opening afternoon of the Performance Days event in Munich on Monday, November 12. The discussion will start at 15.30.

Taking part will be Peter Waeber, chief executive of environmental, health and safety standard body bluesign technologies, Nicole Nedelev from the product development team at Sympatex Technologies, Thomas Triet, head of production at outdoor brand Zimtstern, and textile sustainability specialist Charline Ducas.

Greenpeace’s “Chemistry for All Weathers” report, which calls for a ban on all PFCs, and the reaction in the industry to its publication will frame the context of the discussion.

We encourage all visitors to Performance Days, which will run until November 14, to go and hear the debate.
