Italian company to reveal wine-dyed denim

ITV, an Italian denim and textile company, is to launch a denim dying technique at the Denim by Première Vision event in Paris on Wednesday.

The process replaces traditional synthetic indigo dyes with wine derivatives, resulting in a range of blue colours for dyeing yarn, fabric and ready-made garments.

ITV acquired an exclusive patent on the process from Ecoyaa, a Korean company specialising in natural dyeing. The agreement also enables ITV Denim to distribute and market the products based under the Wine-Tex brand.
