Dutch clothing retail group G-Star has become the fifteenth company to commit to a campaign to eliminate hazardous chemicals from the global textile and apparel supply chain. Not-for-profit organisation Greenpeace launched the campaign, which it calls Detox, in 2011.

G-Star has said it will work with its supplier worldwide to eliminate phthalates and alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEOs) in the course of 2013. It will then move to elimiate perfluorinated chemicals (PFC) by the end of 2014.
