Hohenstein hosts compression gear webinar

The free online seminar will air tomorrow, March 27, at 12:00 noon EST. Participants can register online to receive log in information.
“Today’s compression gear provides critical health, performance and appearance benefits to consumers,” says Florian Girmond, head of Hohenstein’s department of consumer tests. “Whether the compression garment is intended to treat a medical condition, provide an athletic benefit or simply improve body shape, our technology helps product designers understand and verify exactly how their garments work.”
Hohenstein’s scanning technology shows the location and amount of compression exerted across the body and the shaping effects that compression provides. The data is used to improve garment design, optimize sizing and to document compression performance for certifications and marketing claims.
The institute offers a testing programme, which can include assessments for skin sensitivity, wicking and thermal insulation properties.
