EOCA announces conservation projects to have won funding

The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) has announced the results of a public vote to choose conservation projects that the Swiss-based organisation will help fund this year.

In the course of four weeks, EOCA received a total of 57,000 votes, after making the details of candidate projects available on its website. Three projects won selection and will receive funding of up to EUR 30,000 as a result.

The projects that have won funding through this process are Discover Târnava Mare, Romania (nominating member Vaude), an intiative to restore high-altitude habitats in the Himalayas for the snow leopard (nominating member Dynafit), and a project for protection and restoration of critical orang-utan habitat in Southern Borneo (nominating member Fusion Clothing).
