Further changes at the top for Cocona

30/05/2013
Active-particles technology provider to the sports and outdoor apparel market Cocona has announced that chief financial officer Chris Leyes is to add to his responsibilities by becoming the company’s chief operating officer too. He replaces outgoing COO, Bill Post, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities. Jim Hind has stepped into the role of vice-president of global sourcing and will be reporting into Mr Leyes.

Gregory Haggquist, the inventor of Cocona’s core intellectual property, has been named the company’s chief technical officer.

Commenting on the changes, new chief executive, Jeff Bowman, who took over from Brad Poorman a month ago, said: “I am sorry to see Bill go, he was as a solid contributor. Chris brings excellent organisation skills and financial savvy. Both Chris and Jim have outstanding supply chain management experience, including in Asia where many of our customers source products. Their focus will be to drive unnecessary cost and complexity out of the Cocona supply chain. Greg is one of the most innovative product development people I have ever known. The technology he has developed is poised to take Cocona to a new level of innovation.”
