Cocona’s 37.5 fibre to boost performance socks

Cocona Natural Technologies has announced a partnership with Point6, a designer and manufacturer of merino wool performance socks. It will see Point6 release nine styles powered by Cocona’s 37.5 cooling technology.

"Wool is Mother Nature's miracle fibre, thanks to moisture, temperature, and odour-controlling properties," says Peter Duke, CEO of Point6. "Bringing 37.5 technology fibre into the mix elevates wool's benefits to a whole new level."

Researchers at Point6 worked alongside scientists from Cocona to find the perfect combination of 37.5 particles with Nylon. This is then layered between New Zealand merino wool to create socks that maintain a comfortable level of humidity be delaying the onset of sweat and drying faster. It helps the wearer stay cooler for longer and so feel more comfortable, even during high-intensity exercise.

“37.5 fibres pair very well with natural fibres, turbocharging the inherent properties of merino,” said Jeff Bowman, Cocona CEO.
