An active AATCC member, Mr Haggquist developed two novel test methods that measure the drying rates of textiles by using either heat or air as the driving force, simulating the conditions for apparel or household products.
In 2000, Mr Haggquist co-founded TrapTek, now known as Cocona, and invented several processes to produce the materials in Cocona technology. His research has been directed at understanding novel composite materials with unique properties.
The award was established in 2008 to recognise AATCC members who have contributed to the organisation in a technical capacity.
