Liam Gallagher, who has 20 years’ experience in textile and apparel companies, will be responsible for sales across the UK. Mr Gallagher worked for Polartec in the past and later held the position of global vice-president for sports brand Umbro.
At the same time, Sebastiaan Van De Loo has been appointed to manage the German-speaking region and will focus on building new menswear brand partnerships for 37.5.
Other account directors already in place include Anders Wennergren for Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Denmark, Edouard Liffran for France, Spain and Portugal, Geza Maklary for eastern Europe and the Benelux countries, and Davide Berrone for Italy.
Created by Cocona in 2013, 37.5 technology was previously marketed under the Cocona brand name because the original active carbon particles were derived from coconut shells. The technology has since been expanded to use additional natural materials.
Inspiration for the new name comes from the way clothing is influenced by the body’s ability to manage temperature and humidity next to the skin to maintain an ideal “37.5 zone” of 37.5% relative humidity and 37.5 degrees Celsius core body temperature.
