Cocona helps Kenneth Cole boost “wearing experience”

Footwear and fashion brand Kenneth Cole Productions is to incorporate Cocona’s 37.5 cooling technology into a range of men’s and women’s shoes for Autumn 2017.

The president of men’s footwear for Kenneth Cole, Greg Tarbell, explained that the company had been searching for a technology to improve the “wearing experience” of its shoes. It had already started to work with Cocona on its men’s apparel when it discovered that the 37.5 technology had already been used in high-performance hiking boots.

“The beauty of the technology is that we can weave it into any textile lining,” he added. “It creates a microclimate that helps pull moisture from the foot. You never get that damp feeling that can get hot or cold. There’s also no odour or perspiration.”
