Cocona rebrands as 37.5

25/11/2013
Active-particles technology provider to the sportswear market Cocona is being relaunched under the name 37.5, part of a change in business model initiated by new CEO Jeff Bowman, who joined the company in May.

Comfort in clothing is influenced by the body’s ability to manage temperature and humidity next to the skin to maintain an ideal “37.5 zone” of 37.5% relative humidity and 37.5° Celsius core body temperature. The company said its new brand identity highlights the benefits of its patented, active-particle technology.

“The new 37.5 name clearly expresses the benefits of our technology to the brand partners we work with, and to consumers who are seeking the best in performance activewear and other products,” said Mr Bowman. “Beginning as early as Spring 2014, products manufactured with 37.5 technology will come with point of sale materials explaining the exceptional performance characteristics of the technology – allowing retailers and consumers to understand why our partners’ products not only feel better, but work better.”

Brands which used the technology include Adidas, The North Face, Pearl Izumi, Asics, RAB, Rip Curl, Eddie Bauer, Salomon, Under Armour and Redington.
