Abacus turns to Cocona to protect golfers from the sun
04/07/2013
Cocona technology permanently incorporates natural active particles that have microporous structures, into fibres, fabrics, polymers, and films. These active particles have been tested by industry standards and have been found to enhance the performance of fabrics by between 30% and 50%, Abacus said on making the announcement.
Specifically, Cocona features in the Abacus Flixton polo and the women’s Linden polo for its UV protection, evaporative cooling and odour management functionality.
Designer, Chris Mattsson, said: “Golfers spend a lot of time in the sun, often at the hottest times of day. With growing concerns about skin cancer across the globe we recognise the importance of sun protection for golfers.”
