New mountain boot from Mammut

Swiss outdoor brand Mammut has launched a new boot called Magic GTX for men and women.

The boot offers warmth down to minus-20 degrees Celsius thanks to a Gore-Tex lining. It also has a Maton sole from Vibram.

Mammut has used its patented proprietary Base Fit technology in the boot to deliver power transfer from the lacing section to the sole. The concept is based on free-sliding bands that are anchored to the insole, which the company says offer enhanced safety and freedom from blisters, since the foot cannot slip around inside the boot.
