Sustainability on agenda at Intertextile Shanghai

Certification company Oeko-Tex, the Global Organic Textile Standard, testing group SGS and machinery maker Lectra have been named among speakers at the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics fair in October.

Sustainability issues will shape the seminars, with topics including design and trends, market information, technology and solutions, certification and testing, and legal matters.

Running concurrently to the show, The Planet Textiles Conference, held on 22 October, will see groups including the China National Textile & Apparel Council, H&M on behalf of the Zero Discharge Roadmap Group, Marks & Spencer, the Otto Group and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition share their expertise.

Intertextile Shanghai will run from October 21 – 24 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, with 3,500 exhibitors from 31 countries showing their latest collections.
