High-tech fibres help Nylstar hit fashion high note

Polyamide 6.6 producer Nylstar will use its presence at the Expofil exhibition in Paris (September 17-19) to present its autumn-winter 2014-2015 fashion trends predictions. It will also showcase a fashion collection under a concept it has called Sport Tech Couture.

Spanish designer Mo´nica Lavandera worked with Barcelona-based Nylstar on the collection.

Nylstar general manager, Zigor Kortazar, said in the build-up to the event that products such as hollow fibre with antimicrobial properties Nexten Plus, or Nylgold fibre with anti-ageing properties will lend themselves well to “comfortable fashion”, the theme of Sport Tech Couture. He said the fibres and yarns in the range can help designers such as Ms Lavandera produce garments that are beautiful, with the ability to cope with our daily activity without giving up a genuine style, beautiful, different and exclusive, but still have the ability to cope with daily activity “without giving up on genuine style”.
