New Balance agrees new deal in Argentina

Sports brand New Balance has agreed a manufacturing partnership with Argentinean company Sports Icon for the production of New Balance shoes for the domestic market and for export. The opening of retail outlets under the brand’s name is another possibility.

At the moment, Sports Icon makes Kappa products under licence. Arturo Alacahan, the entrepreneur behind Sports Icon, has said demand in Argentina for branded sports products is strong.
