German technology meets Indian textiles
The German Textile Machinery Association (VDMA) is to host two technological conferences at Indian textile centres in December.
Bearing the title 'German technology meets Indian textiles', the VDMA series will be held at the Taj President Hotel in Mumbai on December 3 and at the Le Meridian Hotel in Coimbatore on December 5.
The conferences are aimed at Indian manufacturers who are looking for new products and to increase their competitiveness. There will be contributions from 14 German textile machinery manufacturers and institutes, covering all stages of the textile production chain.
The VDMA conferences will deal with garments, technical textiles and household textiles. Topics will include energy-efficiency and raw material savings, the financing of exports, life cycle costs and the allocation of certificates and labels.
