Unifi appoints CFO and VP
Yarns producer Unifi has appointed James Otterberg chief financial officer as well as electing him to the post of vice president.
Mr Otterberg has been the company's chief accounting officer since October 2011 and has served as interim chief financial officer since August 2013.
"We are very excited about James' appointment. We interviewed many highly qualified candidates and James topped the list. In addition to his broad and deep accounting and financial expertise, James brings keen analytical and strategic planning skills to the management team," said William Jasper, Unifi's chairman and chief executive officer.
Mr Otterberg previously held various financial positions at Polymer Group between 2004 and 2011, including vice president finance, US, from February 2008 to May 2011.
Unifi produces and sells textured and other processed yarns as well as premier value-added (PVA) yarns with enhanced performance characteristics.
