Archroma awarded for One Way service
Archroma, the former textile, paper and emulsions businesses of Clariant, has been awarded the ICIS Innovation Award in the Best Business Innovation category for its One Way sustainability service.
One Way, which launched in October 2012, is a three-step approach to the selection of chemicals and production processes. The first step is product selection, the second is process shortlisting and the third is solution selection. Once completed, the service allows customers to assess the cost, performance and environmental profile of their chosen products and processes.
“We developed this approach with customers, for customers,” says Emrah Esder, Archroma’s head of marketing chemicals, textile specialties business. “Their input was critical in making One Way a sustainability service that customers could count on to make their business more successful.”
In 2012, Archroma’s textile specialties business, then under the Clariant umbrella, was awarded two ICIS Innovation Awards for its Advanced Denim dyeing technology: the ICIS Innovation with Best Environmental Benefit Award and the overall ICIS Innovation Award.
