Sales decline at Lafuma in Q4
French outdoor brand Lafuma has posted a 13.8% sales decline for its fourth quarter, with sales falling in Europe and the US.
Fourth-quarter revenues totalled €193.6 million ($263.1 million) compared with €224.5 million during the prior-year period.
Sales for the mountain division remained relatively flat, while the board sports (-29.3%) and great outdoor divisions (-11.5%) registered significant sales declines.
Sales in France fell 11.9%, while Europe sales were down 13.9%. Sales in the Asian market were deemed “satisfactory” by the company, while US sales fell sharply (-27%), reflecting declines in textile and equipment sales.
According to the company, the negative revenue trend will "most likely" continue into the next quarter.
