Sciessent adds antimicrobial technology to TransDry

“One of the challenges when combining technologies is to ensure both work equally as well in combination as they do independently,” said Sciessent.
Agion uses silver, copper and zinc for antimicrobial efficacy and mineral-based Sciessent Lava captures odour by adsorbing and trapping vapours on contact.
"We found the odour was reduced by roughly half,” said Paul Ford, CEO of Sciessent.
“We also tested polyester and found that it retained twice the odour of the TransDry treated cotton, and six times the odour of TransDry with Agion Active-treated fabrics."
TransDry technology is a patented moisture management application that allows cotton to wick and spread perspiration.
