Indian apparel manufacturer offers eco alternative

India-based apparel manufacturer Fusion Clothing has launched a 40% post-consumer recycled polyester and 60% recycled organic cotton T-shirt at the ISPO Munich trade fair, currently under way in Germany.

Three months in development, the company is aiming to gradually use the fabric for all styles in its Do U Speak Green? brand.

“We believe very strongly in reducing our carbon footprint in the clothing that we wear,” said Fusion founder Shishir Goenka. “Therefore the launch of a t-shirt made from recycled post consumer polyester and recycled organic cotton waste is the highest standard achievable in the clothing industry.”
