Under Armour claims heel-cup breakthrough

In the build-up to the launch the company highlighted the technology that has gone into the shoe, including what it claims is “the first ever moulded, seamless heel-cup”. Seams elsewhere on the upper are, Under Armour says, “smooth and ultrasonic”, and there is breathable, form-fitting material in the vamp.
Technology in the sole includes a “stability bar” made from thermoplastic polyurethane positioned specifically to protect the metatarsals. Each shoe weighs 182 grammes.
