OutDry takes top prize at Professional Clothing Awards
Waterproof technology provider OutDry has been awarded ‘Innovation of the Year’ at the UK-based Professional Clothing Awards for its Fire Flow firefighter glove with adaptive insulation.
Sponsored by footwear testing body Satra, the event was first staged two years ago to bring together the SATRA PPE Innovation Awards and the Business Manager and Supplier Awards, which grew out of the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show.
Best Innovation in Safety Footwear was awarded to Magnum UK for its Armadillo HPI ‘hospital’ shoe, Best Innovation in Occupational PPE went to HB Schutzbekleidung for its Orange-Red Hi-Vision Parka, and a Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Frank van Wesel, founder and chairman of Hi-Tec Sports.
This year's event was held in Birmingham and hosted by UK Fashion and Textile Association CEO John Miln and Ruth Morris, uniform manager for the UK’s rugby World Cup teams for 2015.
