Terrot acquires troubled Italian single-jersey machinery maker

German circular knitting machine manufacturer Terrot has taken over the operational business of Italian machine manufacturer Pilotelli, which had run into financial difficulties.

Terrot said Pilotelli is especially known for its expertise in single-jersey technology and has a well-established global reputation with strong markets in Turkey and South America. It added that it had made the move as part of a wider growth strategy.

Production of Pilotelli machines in Cazzago San Martino in Brescia will continue as a result of Terrot’s acquisition.
