Garment growth for Nepal

Reports from Nepal say exports of ready-made garments from the Himalayan country have increased in value by more than 50% in the first eight months of the current financial year.

Values for the eight-month period, which covers July 2013-March 2014, surpassed $35 million.

Key export markets inlcude Canada, the US, Australia, India, Germany, France, the Netherlands, UK, Spain and Switzerland.
