Jack Wolfskin eyes China
The CEO of Jack Wolfskin has said he sees opportunities for the German brand and the wider outdoor industry in China and Russia.

Speaking of the maturing market in Europe, which saw overall growth of 2.8% in volume and 3.1% in value last year, Michael Rupp said: “We have to remember that this is Europe. Other markets offer tremendous growth opportunities for outdoor brands, for instance Russia and China, where outdoor activity is only just being discovered. It has a huge population, great space and an abundance of outdoor opportunities.

“As a brand and the industry, we see an opportunity in China and believe we are at the beginning of the next growth spurt.”
