Taiwanese textile firms turn attention at ORSM into orders

With 53 companies exhibiting at 67 booths, Taiwan had the largest national presence at the 2014 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market exhibition in Salt Lake City in August.

This presence, mostly in a special Taiwan Select pavilion, attracted nearly 1,000 visitors in the course of the four-day event and a survey carried out following the show by the Taiwan Textile Federation has revealed that its member companies who travelled to the US to take part managed to turn that attention into orders for their technical textile products with a value of around $9 million.

Visitors to Taiwan Select included representatives of brands such as Patagonia, Reebok and Perry Ellis.
