International Cotton Association president hands over reins
08/10/2014
Hosted by the outgoing ICA president, Mohit Shah, nine speakers took to the stage to discuss the supply chain, cotton prices and best practice.
Mr Shah, who handed over the ICA presidency to Jordan Lea, said: "I have confidence in the promise of the ICA because I know the character of our members. This is an Association that is a global cotton community that inspires honourable trading and these virtues give me an unshakable faith in the ICA.
“It has been a privilege of a lifetime to serve as your president. There have been good days and tough days, but every day I have been moved by the greatness of our association and uplifted by the goodness of our members.”
The majority of the world’s raw cotton is traded under ICA bylaws and rules.
