Techtera-led project to develop formaldehyde-free finishes

Six French companies are working on a €1.8 million project to produce textile finishing treatments containing no formaldehyde to comply with Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

The NOFORMOL initiative will take three-and-a-half years to complete, under the leadership of research cluster Techtera.

The partners involved are textile group Senszo, workwear maker TDV Industries, R&D firm Science et Surface, French textile institute IFTH, polymer coatings group RESCOL and IMP, a polymer research firm.
